The two thousand people employed in administration of the Department are divided into a number of Directorates and Sections that, between them, cover all the areas for which the Conseil Général has responsibility. They implement the public policy decisions taken by the Assembly of the Conseil Général in order to meet the economic, social, cultural and educational needs of all the inhabitants of Haut-Rhin.
