The Conseil Général, in its desire to form partnerships with developing countries has, since 2006, been cooperating with the Conseil du Cercle (Advisory Circle) in Yanfolila (Mali) in collaboration with the Regional Institute for Development (IRCOD) and the “French Farmers and International Development” Association (AFDI68), especially in secondary education (11-15), agriculture (development of reservoirs, mango purée production) and support for the internal organisation and contracting operations of the Advisory Circle.

The Department also supports development aid projects carried out by associations based in the Haut-Rhin where these are long-term and dependent upon reliable, properly structured local agencies.
