Waste management – the Conseil Général leads the field

ENVIRONMENT

Thanks to its inhabitants, Haut-Rhin is one of those departments which carries out the highest level of waste sorting.

The departmental waste plan is facilitating the introduction of a new approach to ‘thinking about the planet’ (getting rid of plastic bags).

Raising awareness of the natural environment

The Conseil Général is carrying out a programme for raising awareness, amongst both young and old. Its policy is to preserve our natural heritage, to support organisations for the protection of nature and action to promote environmental education.
